Spain's small hosts file 42 fields per traveller in 24 hours, and the SES.Hospedajes portal breaks at the signature.
A Madrid apartment owner wrote on Airbnb's Spanish community board in March 2025: "I enter the apartment data, but when I go to sign I get a red cross and the word ERROR. Autofirma is up to date. I'm desperate." Since 2 December 2024 every Spanish hotel, tourist apartment, rural house and short-stay rental has to push up to 42 fields per traveller to SES.Hospedajes (the Interior Ministry's portal) within 24 hours of check-in. Fines run €100 to €600,000.
01The pain
"I enter the apartment data, but when I go to sign I get a red cross and the word ERROR. I'm desperate." A Madrid host wrote that on Airbnb's Spanish community board in March 2025.5 The portal is SES.Hospedajes (the Interior Ministry's mandatory guest-registry site). The signing tool is Autofirma (the Spanish government's free digital-signing app). The deadline is 24 hours from check-in. The fine for missing it starts at €100 and tops out at €600,000.1
Since 2 December 2024, Real Decreto 933/2021 (the royal decree on lodging-data registration) has forced every Spanish hotel, tourist apartment, rural house and short-stay rental to push up to 42 fields per traveller and per transaction. Name, identity-document number, date of birth, address, payment method, even the relationship between co-travellers.3 The penalty ladder lives inside Organic Law 4/2015 (the public-security statute): minor €100, serious €30,000, very serious up to €600,000. The Interior Ministry opened sanction files in 2025.4
In January 2026 the government reopened sector talks — the press calls the regime "el Gran Hermano turístico" (the tourist Big Brother) — to soften it after sustained operator protest.2 The 42 fields, the 24-hour clock and the fines all stayed live during the talks. So small hosts keep filing. The portal keeps timing out, Autofirma throws red-X errors on Apple devices, and a host with two flats fills the form by hand every booking.

02Who solves this today
Four vendors that name SES.Hospedajes integration on their own Spanish-market website as the operator promise. Each was verified live in the niche on the date of writing.
Listed providers publicly market SES.Hospedajes filing on their own homepage or a dedicated product page. Inclusion is not endorsement. Adjacent vendors were considered and excluded where their public Spanish-market site did not contain a verbatim SES.Hospedajes / Registro de Viajeros self-marketing phrase at the date of writing — Smoobu, Octorate, Hostfully and Rentlio fell out of the cohort for that reason, not on quality grounds. The official SES.Hospedajes portal (hospedajes.ses.mir.es) is cited above in section 01 as the source of the obligation, not as a solution provider.
