Οι μεγαπυρκαγιές του 2021 (Βόρεια Εύβοια), του 2023 (Έβρος — με ενενήντα έξι χιλιάδες εκτάρια η μεγαλύτερη μεμονωμένη πυρκαγιά που έχει καταγραφεί ποτέ στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση) και του 2024 (Αττική, Ρόδος, Κόρινθος) κατέστρεψαν εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες ελαιόδεντρα. Η ελιά αναβλασταίνει από τη βάση όταν αντιμετωπιστεί σωστά, αλλά η αποκατάσταση είναι δουλειά εξειδικευμένη: αξιολόγηση κάθε δέντρου για ζημιά στο σημείο εμβολιασμού, κλάδεμα κάτω από το καμένο σημείο, ανακατασκευή των πεσμένων αναβαθμίδων, επισκευή της καμένης στάγδην άρδευσης, επαναφύτευση εκεί όπου χάθηκε το υποκείμενο και φροντίδα της αναβλάστησης για τρεις έως πέντε καλλιεργητικές περιόδους. Ο ΕΛΓΑ (Ελληνικός Γεωργικός Ασφαλιστικός Οργανισμός, ο κρατικός φορέας ασφάλισης γεωργικής παραγωγής) πληρώνει για τα δέντρα και τα εργατικά μέσω ΠΣΕΑ και αποζημιώσεων πυρκαγιάς. Καμία ελληνική εταιρεία δεν προσφέρει ολόκληρη την αλληλουχία ως υπηρεσία με το κλειδί στο χέρι. Οι παραγωγοί τρέχουν χωριστά πίσω από γεωπόνους, φυτώρια, συνεργεία κλαδέματος και εγκαταστάτες άρδευσης. Οι περισσότεροι απλώς τα παρατάνε.
01 Ο πόνος
Ο Απόστολος Αποστόλου κλαδεύει μόνος του, χρόνο με τον χρόνο, τη νέα βλάστηση στα πυρόπληκτα ελαιόδεντρά του στη Βόρεια Εύβοια και μπαλώνει μόνος του τις γραμμές άρδευσης.1 Η πυρκαγιά του 2021 αφάνισε το ογδόντα τοις εκατό των ελαιώνων γύρω του. Τέσσερα χρόνια μετά, κανένα συνεργείο αποκατάστασης δεν έχει περάσει από εκεί.
Οι ελληνικές μεγαπυρκαγιές του 2021, 2023 και 2024 κατέστρεψαν εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες ελαιόδεντρα. Η πυρκαγιά του Έβρου το 2023 ήταν η μεγαλύτερη μεμονωμένη πυρκαγιά που έχει καταγραφεί ποτέ στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση: ενενήντα έξι χιλιάδες εκτάρια καμένης γης. Κάηκαν 120.000 ελαιόδεντρα, τα ενενήντα χιλιάδες από αυτά γύρω από το χωριό Μάκρη, δυτικά της Αλεξανδρούπολης.4 Άλλα 11.000 στρέμματα ελαιώνων κάηκαν μόνο το 2024. Δυόμισι χρόνια μετά την πυρκαγιά του Έβρου, ο ΕΛΓΑ, ο κρατικός φορέας ασφάλισης γεωργικής παραγωγής, μόλις ανακοίνωσε την αντικατάσταση σαράντα χιλιάδων δέντρων στη Μάκρη-Αλεξανδρούπολη.2
Το Ίδρυμα Χάινριχ Μπελ, γερμανικό πολιτικό ίδρυμα, κατέγραψε τη Βόρεια Εύβοια τον Απρίλιο του 2025. Διαπίστωσε ότι «δεν έχουν γίνει ουσιαστικές παρεμβάσεις, καθώς οι περικοπές προϋπολογισμού, οι καθυστερήσεις, η γραφειοκρατία, οι αντιφατικές αποφάσεις και η υποστελέχωση των υπηρεσιών εμποδίζουν την αποκατάσταση».3 Η δουλειά είναι εξειδικευμένη. Αξιολόγηση κάθε δέντρου για ζημιά στο σημείο εμβολιασμού. Κλάδεμα κάτω από το καμένο σημείο. Ανακατασκευή των πεσμένων αναβαθμίδων. Επισκευή της καμένης στάγδην άρδευσης. Επαναφύτευση εκεί όπου χάθηκε το υποκείμενο. Φροντίδα της αναβλάστησης για τρεις έως πέντε καλλιεργητικές περιόδους.5 Οι παραγωγοί τρέχουν χωριστά πίσω από γεωπόνους, φυτώρια, συνεργεία κλαδέματος και εγκαταστάτες άρδευσης — και οι περισσότεροι απλώς τα παρατάνε.

Ψάξαμε για μια ελληνική εταιρεία σε λειτουργία που έχει τη μορφή που ζητάει αυτό το κενό: ένα περιφερειακό συνεργείο που πουλά, ανά στρέμμα και με το κλειδί στο χέρι, υπηρεσία αποκατάστασης πυρόπληκτου ελαιώνα — αξιολόγηση, κλάδεμα αναβλάστησης, ανακατασκευή αναβαθμίδων, εκ νέου εγκατάσταση στάγδην άρδευσης, επαναφύτευση και τριετή φροντίδα — χρεωμένη έναντι των αποζημιώσεων του ΕΛΓΑ και με παρουσία σε πυρόπληκτες περιοχές όπως η Βόρεια Εύβοια, ο Έβρος, η Αρχαία Ολυμπία, η Αττική και η Ρόδος. Τρέξαμε αναζητήσεις στα ελληνικά και στα αγγλικά στον κλαδικό Τύπο της ελαιοκαλλιέργειας, σε γεωπονικές πύλες, στους καταλόγους εργολάβων του ΕΛΓΑ, σε γειτονικούς προμηθευτές κηποτεχνίας και δενδροκομίας — και διαβάσαμε τις σελίδες προϊόντων κάθε εύλογου τοπικού παρόχου. Αυτό που βρήκαμε είναι ένα σύνολο από κοντινές αστοχίες, όχι λύσεις:

The page on post-fire olive-grove restoration is an advisory blog post inside the e-commerce site, not a product or service offering. There is no crew, no per-stremma quote, no field service. - MyOlivePlant (Greece) — an educational portal on olive cultivation, with knowledge quizzes and step-by-step articles on olive-grove establishment, varieties, propagation, pruning, harvesting and oil production. The site addresses one leg of the work (grove establishment and replanting guidance) but is not a crew contractor and sells no end-to-end restoration service. Adjacent content, not a solver. myoliveplant.gr
Neither of these companies sells what a fire-affected Greek olive grower actually needs: one crew that shows up, prices the grove per stremma, runs the full restoration sequence, and books the work against the ELGA payout. This is an open opportunity for founders. The demand is concrete and dated: 120,000 trees lost in the 2023 Evros fire alone, 40,000 of them just confirmed for replacement two and a half years later by ELGA in Makri-Alexandroupoli, another 11,000 stremmata burnt in 2024, and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung naming "budget cuts, delays, bureaucracy, contradictory decisions and understaffing" as the reason no restoration is happening. What is missing is the operator: a regional Greek crew running mini-excavators, pneumatic pruners and portable drip-irrigation kits, selling a per-stremma "fire-grove revival" package against ELGA payouts.
